Beyond Literature Borders

We are delighted to announce a new pilot grant programme for international work from independent literature organisation Speaking Volumes, funded by the British Council.

The application window for Beyond Literature Borders is now closed.

Beyond Literature Borders is a new grant programme, developed with Speaking Volumes, to support UK-based arts organisations that are diverse-led, or working with underrepresented voices, to develop new international projects.

There are four £7,000 grants available to give small, UK-based literature organisations the opportunity to develop and deliver a discrete project in collaboration with an international partner. The grants will be awarded to literature organisations that are either completely new to international work, or those who are early in their partnerships and overseas working.

There will be two Zoom information sessions offering a chance to ask the teams from Speaking Volumes and the British Council any questions, and gain further guidance and inspiration for your application:

Monday 4 March, 16:00-17:00 (GMT)
Wednesday 6 March, 10:00-11:00 (GMT)

Deadline to apply: Friday 12 April 2024, 23.59 (GMT).
